Max has recently started hunting with the Tennessee Valley Hunt and has proven himself very capable as a hunt pony. Suitable for all fields including first and jumping, nothing has phased him in the least. Currently learning the job in experienced hands, he shows potential to be a novice or children’s pony.
He has extensive experience trail riding, camping, and conditioning with endurance horses. He has even competed in a ride and tie race. No reason he couldn’t cross over into competitive trail or endurance as well.
He has also competed 1st level and trained up to 2nd level dressage, as well as 2’6” schooling hunters. However he is not recommended as a show ring pony as he much prefers being out in the field and on trail. All of his previous arena training does make him a fun and handy ride out and about.
Excellent ground manners and a good boy for all the usual-vet, farrier, clipping, trailering, etc. Good in or out, gets along with everyone and typically low in the pecking order. Easy to take places, no drama or anxiety away from home. Sweet, personable temperament.
No previous or current health or soundness issues.
Lifetime USDF and AERC (american endurance ride conference) numbers.
We have raised him from a foal and my daughter has now moved on to warmblood dressage horses. Excellent new home a must!
