Meet Dapper! Aptly named because he is such a good looking gentleman. Dapper was purchased from the kill pens before heading to slaughter. Prior to his arriving, for 9 years he sat untrained as a stallion. He was freshly cut when I purchased him and amongst the 200 other horses, he truly called to me. I brought him home, had him vetted, teeth float and feet done. He is in wonderful health and has great barefoot feet. Has gone through training, is gentle, and will follow you all through the pasture. Due to unforeseen life changes he has sat for a few months, my family loves him but I want him to have a job in his new found life. Because he was trained as an adult rather than as a colt, he’ll do good from a refresher and another round of desensitize training as he tends to lose that tarps, flags, tight passes are not harmful if he hasn’t been exposed to them consistently. He would make a great husband or child horse with the continued training. He is still green. Needs more miles, consistency from experienced horse person or training from professional who understands he needs more attention because of sitting for the first 9 years of his life. He is fantastic with my kids, around dogs, donkeys, alpacas and goats. He does trailer just fine, he does get the nervous shakes before loading. I would love a good home for him that has the time and consistency to enjoy this sweetheart!
