👉🏼Paz is a 6yo dun BLM Mustang gelding from the Swayze, UT HMA. He stands just over 14.1hh and is a very stout guy. Easy keeper, barefoot, healthy and beautiful!
Paz has been in training with us just over a year total. He is broke to ride and has the sweetest personality. He likes attention and has zero stranger danger. Paz knows how to:
✅ Walk, Trot and Canter both directions
✅ Sidepasses
✅ Stop and nice back
✅ Turn on haunch and forehand
✅ Leg yield
✅ Opens gates
✅ Great on obstacles
✅ Not spooky
✅ Ties great, no pull back, easy to groom, bathe and tack up
✅ Lunges great
✅ Picks you up at mounting block, is also hobble trained
✅ Tons of trail miles, will lead, follow, go in middle no problem or ride solo
✅ Nice forward trail walk
✅ Gets along great with other horses and burros
✅ Super easy to catch, even in pasture
✅ Cutest little jog he can do all day
✅ More whoa than go
✅ Positive Reinforcement training established on him
✅ He started to learn to lay down on cue but it is not a solid cue on him. Would be easy to make solid though.
✅ Loads and hauls amazing
✅ Fully titled, no BLM application required
🐴 Paz is pretty amazing but he IS a coming 6yo so still super young and hasn’t experienced as much as an older horse. He would be appropriate for an Advanced Beginner with a trainer or Intermediate rider and up. His ideal home would be someone who wants a sweet, horse who likes attention to trail ride, play dates, obstacles challenges, he could do well in a lesson program, mustang shows, gathering cattle, just a solid all around kind of guy.
💵 His 💰 is less than half what his training alone costs. He is upper 4-figures. He is a steal for what you are getting. The Swayze herd is rarely gathered so these guys don’t come along often. His only con is saddle fit is very important to this guy. He is not hard to fit (a wide FQHB roping saddle fits him great) but he will not tolerate a poorly fitting too narrow saddle that pinches his withers, it makes him super nervous and worried. With a fitting saddle, he is an angel.
