Meet Scout, a 3 yr. old chestnut gelding who is ready for someone to take him in the direction of their choice! He is a wonderful project that has a great start already. Nice projects don't come around like this often and at this price. Scout stands 14.1 hands, has excellent strong bones and nice solid large dark hooves. He is a wonderful mover and has a nice neck set and topline. I have free jumped him and he also loves to jump with great form! He is brave and not spooky. He has 30 days under saddle and is doing well. He moves off your leg, follows a feel on the rein, is soft in the snaffle, tacks up great, never any naughtiness, never cold backed. He knows liberty training and will turn into you and yield haunches. He has more whoa than go, but not hard to get moving. He is honest and has a lot of try. His canter is the smoothest EVER!! Lovely balanced trot. He clips, ties, bathes, walks right in the trailer, good for farrier, no vices, sound, and wears a blanket if you want. Nothing really bothers this wonderful gelding. He just had his teeth floated and vaccines in February and is current on everything. I could see him eventing as once in a frame would look lovely dressage and he already shows great potential for jumping. Cross country would be fun for him as he is brave and wants to please. He would also make a great trail horse or driving pony. He only has 30 days, but those days have been with a professional trainer. He is well started with a nice walk, trot, and canter both ways. He is balanced and picks up his leads well. He stays at a nice pace and has a very steady easy canter on a nice loose rein! He doesn't take off! Such a fun project that has a sturdy build.
