Payday is a 6 year old QH gelding that stands 15.1HH and is an all around prospect that can go either direction in the arena from roping to showing! If you’re not interested in a performance horse, but looking for a trail riding or ranch horse, this guy has a resume that will impress you! Payday has been used for all aspects of ranch work from working the feed yards and pastures to halter breaking yearlings and bucking out babies. He is very versatile and always reliable no matter the task.

With a solid foundation, he has a lot of buttons and is an easy ride. He knows his leads, counter arches, pivots, side passes and so much more. He is a very natural stopper and loves to drag his rear in the dirt!

He does not need daily tuning and can easily go and be shown in the green horse reining, ranch riding or ranch trail. He would make a great breakaway or heel horse, but is big enough to swap to the head side if needed. He stands flat footed in the box, finds the corner and breaks to the pin honestly. He will naturally rate to a cow and will track one every step of the way. He has a motor when asked but does not get chargey or run through the bridle. He has been lightly started on the heel side and has been roping the breakaway sled consistently over the last two weeks. He is ready to be started on live cattle and we have tracked our donkeys on him.

If you’re looking for a reliable trail horse, here’s your guy! I have personally ridden this gelding 12 miles in one day on a trail ride by myself and he was a blast. He goes through, over, under and between all types of water, terrain, and obstacles. He will drag logs, tarps and carry a flag. At the house, Payday is the easiest horse to own. He requires no special maintenance, attention or care. He can be turned out or left stalled. He is a very easy keeper, and drinks great on the road. He is low man on the pecking order in a mixed pasture. He stands for the farrier, loads and unloads, and hard ties all day long. He is UTD on dental, shots, coggins, shoeing and worming. PPE’s are welcome, and we can ship anywhere!
