SOLD $2,500. Stunning medicine hat paint gelding with two blue eyes looking for his new home! Foaled on 4/7/2005. Docs Jazzy Hotshot (Barn name: Luke) is a 15.3 hand registered tobiano paint. He has been out of work for about the last 2 years, due to owner not having time to ride, so he is out of shape. His hind end moves a little differently- vet noted it could just be older age arthritis- could be stiff from not being in work. It was noted he could benefit from joint injections &/or something like daily Equioxx but is not currently on any maintenance. PPE’s are welcomed. From previous riding 2 years ago: He is a fantastic trail horse- has been ridden hundred of hours & miles through trails. Same horse on & off property. He is happy to move out, but also happy to stop! Was mainly a lead horse to an 85 year old woman, but he follows just as easily. Rides Western (can neck rein too) or English. Goes through creeks, on roads, over bridges no problem, traffic safe & sound! He does also W/T/C in the arena, but trails are where he is happiest! He has also done small jumps in the past without a problem- was always very honest. Intermediate+ rider would be best suitable for him- if you hit a button, he will listen. Luke is ridden softly: in both a D ring, mullen mouth snaffle, but also goes in a curb for western riding too. Currently has front shoes because we were anticipating riding him on the trails, but can go barefoot if he is on soft footing/pasture. Easy keeper, but not one you have to worry about getting too fat. Lives out 24/7, but behaves in a stall too- no vices. Cross & single ties like a pro. Stands nicely for the farrier & vet. Has lived with just mares/just geldings/mixed herd- he ranges in ranking depending on who he is put out with. Polite on the ground, anyone can handle him. He has also been in a paddock around & with minis/goats/chickens/peacocks/guineas/dogs/cats without ever causing a problem! Easy to load on trailer. He is also more prone to sunburn on his face due to his pink nose/skin which is easily avoided by providing him with access to go into shady areas (&/or sunscreen/ protective fly mask put on). UTD on farrier, vaccines, & Coggins. Located in Harford County, MD. Asking a rehoming fee of $3,500, but negotiable to the perfect home. Off property lease may be considered as well. We will thoroughly check references and he will only go to the best home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yk87G0k2apU
