Buddy is a gentle horse who adores kids. He came to me 3 yrs ago, starved near death and broke of spirit. He has made a very impressive recovery. He loves people of all ages and kids are is favorite. He is a tad sway back due to starvation.
He, I believe, was at one time a gentleman’s pleasure horse.
Buddy eats all stock grain made into mash and hay. Fancy/expensive grains and alfalfa give him loose stools. Buddy needs to graze as well. It helps his gut produce solid poop.
Bareback or saddle and a halter work very well for this gentle soul. I have never used a bit with Buddy and he loves that. Buddy has a serious fear of whips so I don’t use them.
Loads, ties, is great with ferrier. Will follow you anywhere for a good beer or grain. Buddy is a total lover.
