Cora If you’re looking for a classy young ranch rider, look no further. This girl is the total package! Cora is a stunning 14.2hh, 2019 dun AQHA mare with the looks, temperament and training to make anyone a phenomenal partner. I really can not say enough good about this horse and I am excited to offer her to the public. This mare has been a dream to have in the barn. She stalls and turns out nicely with others and is easy enough for anyone to handle. Cora will stand tied anywhere, is good for a bath, lunges politely and hops right in the trailer. She has been an absolute lady for the vet and farrier and has no stable vices. You will be hard pressed to find a more level headed young horse under saddle. Cora is consistently the same horse every time you swing a leg over. She stands quietly to mount from the ground or the block and waits for her rider’s cue before walking off. This mare is going to be a ranch riding rock star. She has a naturally low head carriage and is butter soft in the bridle. She is very responsive to seat and leg cues, but is kind and forgiving to a rider that is still learning how to ask. Cora has three lovely, balanced gaits, will neck rein or direct rein, turns on the haunches and side passes with ease. She is never a strong or forward ride and always tries her hardest to give her rider exactly what they asked for. She has proven to be an incredibly good natured ride and has never offered a spook or buck, regardless of the situation we put her in. Not only is Cora a dream in the arena, she is also a blast to trail ride. She will go out alone, or in a group and will take any position she is asked to take. We have taken this girl through woods, fields, across water and noisy bridges without issue. She isn’t phased by wildlife, dogs or vehicles. Several weeks ago we also took her to a sorting practices to track cattle. She confidently walked into the pen, pushed the herd, and would hook on to any cow we pointed her at. Cora is a truly lovely young horse that is ready to start her show career. She is easy enough for a youth or adult amateur to maintain at home, but also has the work ethic for a professional program. This is the kind of horse that will help any rider accomplish their goals, no matter how big or small they might be. *** As always, PPE is welcome at buyer’s expense ***
