Scat Cat- 2016 15.2H -unRaced-TB gelding. Located in Northwest Oklahoma. ***Not for lesson program or beginners. *** currently spending 30days with my trainer to keep those saddle pads wet and set him up for success with his next home** Scat was sold to me as a beginners horse. He is not. You want to win money in rodeo events this is your horse. He is not hot or wild just very quick. You ask him to turn and he’s gonna turn on a dime. He looks like a quarter horse next to my other TBs. -Athletic, forward mover, sensitive -very smart, quick learner. -Not the super in your pocket type. -Currently barefoot, solid feet -stands for farrier -easy keeper -Current on shots and negative coggins as of March 24,2023. -Teeth floated Jan 2023 with previous owner. Vet bill in hand. -Jockey club Papers in hand. -No previous injuries. No soundness issues. -PPEs welcome at buyers expense. -no crib, buck, kick or bite. Last trim mid July—Currently barefoot, did have fronts on when I bought him. Was told only cuz of rocky surface of previous owners property. My farrier said good solid feet. Absolutely no soundness issues being barefoot. If you’re looking for an athlete that’s an easy keeper, solid build and going to work all day for you, this is your guy. I bought ScatCat March 10, 2023 out of Texas for my 11yr old. Being very familiar with OTTBs, I was confident in all the questions I asked and videos I watched on what horse I was getting. I was mislead. This is an intermediate rider horse. He is broke to ride, however he is what I call an ATHLETE horse. He’s a job horse. No messing around, grab him, throw your tack on and go type. I wasn’t told till after I picked him up that he had been in barrel horse training. Was told he was hauled to two different barrel clinics and performed well. He was definitely made for rodeo. He’s quick, sensitive and has worked the pattern. I have no doubts this horse will make a solid junior rodeo or rodeo mount. Since having him here he hasn’t had an ounce of grain. Just quality full bale hay and pasture and he’s filled out nice. He was not in bad shape when I brought him home, just a little “slimmer” than I like. Pros—he stands perfect for the farrier and the vet. Good ground manners. Easily comes in from 20 acre pasture. Moves of the slightest pressure, backs like a dream! No cribbing, buck or bite. I tried to sell him once on here and then decided to let him be a horse for a few months. He just seemed so up tight. July 2 he went to my trainer for wet saddle pads and set him up for success for his next home. My trainer has been very impressed by him. This is a good horse for the right person/discipline. I have current july 28th videos and pictures. Price is always negotiable. Please reach out and I will answer ALLLLLL the questions honestly.
