Susie is a 7 year old, eloquent, double-registered (to the Gypsy Vanner Horse Society and the Pinto Horse Association of America) Gypsy Vanner mare that stands 15.1. Conformationally, Susie checks all of the boxes; correct big hooves, thick legs, strong hindquarters, and a beautiful arched neck. She has great feet! We keep her barefoot and she has never gotten footsore over anything or taken a lame step! This mare has a style and presence that demands attention in any crowd. Everyone comments on her beautiful face, conformation and that mane! Susie has an excellent foundation and professional training and has spent time being ridden bareback, with dressage tack and western tack. She is not spooky and rides quietly, soft to your hands and responsive, very willing to please her rider! She changes gates with no fuss, w/t/c. Reliable “whoa” button! She has been shown at the Pinto World Championships and won reserve in halter classes. Susie is a multitalented mare with trail-blazing experience. She willingly navigates over tarps, logs, bridges, through water etc. Traffic safe (tractors, atvs, cars, etc) and dog safe (she’s even had the neighbor’s dogs nipping at her heels and didn’t mind). She has been all over our cattle farm and doesn’t mind the cows or playful babies chasing her. This beautiful mare will try anything asked of her, including jumping barrels! She is trained to drive. Quiet to harness, she pulls anything you hook to her with distinguished elegance. She has pulled buggies and horse-drawn lawnmowers! Susie picks up feet all 4 feet easily, and is patient for baths, sprays, and tacking. She especially loves having her feathers washed and combed! Easy on and off trailer and is not excited by new places. Susie is a no-nonsense, loving, eager to please horse that could go any direction. She will ride out from the barn and through trails, the ring or around the farm alone or with company (geldings, mares, mules, ponies, minis, donkeys-to name a few we know she gets along with ) and is also no stranger to ring work-indoor or out. She has even been shown in a large, indoor coliseum with loud speakers and audience and did great! She will patiently allow you to blanket her or pull hoods over her face. Good for the vet/shots/deworming. She is an in your pocket type horse, easy to catch-meet you at the gate type. Sound and intelligent, Susie will make a great lifelong partner for some lucky rider! UTD on vaccines and has had her teeth floated within the past 6 months. PLEASE CALL SKYLER: (276) 733-8259
