Venus is an 11 year old grade quarter horse mare. This pretty girl stands right around 15hh and has the nice round stout build everyone wants. This lady is so pleasant and sweet to be around you’d never guess she’s a mare unless you checked. She’s never mareish and gets along with other mares and geldings.

In the ring Venus has been regularly used for lessons, lots of beginner and leadline lessons. She’s as quiet as they come and does amazing at her job. She’s been used for therapy lessons as well and always has a quiet understanding attitude. She’s used to being in an indoor with mirrors and has had lots of desensitization to tarps bags and many different props. Nothing phases this girl and she’s the most reliable horse in the barn. The only reason the owner is willing to part with this gem is a lack of room and more horses coming in.

Venus was previously used as a trail mount, and a family horse. She is safe for anyone on the trail and if you can hold the reins you can ride her. Shes never in a hurry to get anywhere and has no spook buck or rear. She’s careful about where she puts her feet and always takes care of her rider. She has one of the best brains a horse can have and she is a dream to be around.

In the barn Venus is always quiet and sweet. She has no bad stall habits and she’s even been a maid mare for a foal whose mother didn’t want her. She loves to be loved on and stands all day to be groomed and tacked up. She loves any kind of attention and loves her people. She’s easy to work around and stands for the farrier and vet.

Venus may not be a fancy show horse, or win any races, but if you’re looking for a safe reliable easy going horse- she’s your girl. She’s best suited as a beginner lesson horse, but would also love a job being a trail horse or husband horse. This girl is very special to us and will only go to the best home.
