Spirit is a 17 y.o., black Peruvian Paso gelding with extraordinary manners and excellent traditional training. He has taught many children the basics of horsemanship and inspired many a future horseperson!

He's an unfailingly kind, patient, and willing mount for children or lighter adults. I do not ask him to carry anyone over 150 pounds, at the recommendation of my vet, because he has very mild rotation in his fronts due to several bouts of mild founder prior to my owning him.
Spirit is insulin resistant, which is managed with diet.

Spirit is barefoot and has been for 6 years and we have no problems with his feet as long as care is taken to ensure he is ridden on ground that is kind to his hooves :) Prior to going barefoot, I had him in a frog support with a shoe. He is sound for light riding like easy arena work and trail riding on soft ground, which is what we currently do with him.

His price is negotiable; I am more concerned about his welfare. A buy back promise is a must, just so I know he will come back to me if he doesn't fit in at his new home. Thank you.
