Trigger is a 15h registered Tuf N Busy palomino gelding (I do not have his papers.) He will be 15yrs old in May. Don’t let his age fool you he is a sound, solid, athletic boy. He has a lot of go, intermediate to advanced riders only. No beginners. Trigger is a trail BOSS! He will go through anything and is sure footed, confident and brave. He is not spooky. I recently used him to chase down and catch a loose horse on a trail ride at Taylor Mountain. Trigger has a lot of speed when asked. He can self load and trailers/travels great. There is no trailer Trigger will not load into. Slant load, straight load, he will even back out on his own if needed. He will stand tied at the trailer all day. Hard and cross ties, stands great for farrier and body work, clips, good for baths and grooming. Trigger is a total gentleman on the ground and very respectful. He will meet you at the gate. He takes his halter and bit like a gentleman. He will stand and not walk off. If you want a horse you can stop and talk to your friends or take in a view on a trail he’s your guy. He can lead and follow on the trail and go out alone. He crosses bridges, water, opens gates, if there’s a spot the other horses are hesitant to cross Trigger will show them the way. I am selling him as a trail, obstacle, CMO, endurance, search and rescue horse only. He would also likely be fine with mounted shooting. He can be ridden in the arena for conditioning but not for arena events. Trigger is an ex-barrel horse and gets hot and anxious at arena events. Absolutely no gaming or barrels. I have had Trigger for a year and I would consider myself a beginner. Together we have done over 100 miles of trails, gaming, cow sorting and a few months of drill. He turns into a puppy dog on a lead line and I have put many kids and beginners on him in the arena on lead line at a walk, including my 7yr old special needs son. Trigger was also part of a kids summer camp where they used him for grooming, painting, braiding, ground work, lead line and at a walk. Although I would not recommend him as a kids horse. I have also ponied off of him on a trail and he has tracked and roped a dummy. He is good around dogs, pigs and cows, cars and machinery. Neck reins, moves off leg and side passes. No maintenance other than joint supplement. Had a PPE a year ago and passed with flying colors. PPE is available to purchaser to view. New PPE welcome at buyers expense. Teeth and sheath cleaning done last spring. Up to date on feet and worming. Currently shoed on all 4, but has done over 100 miles of trails with fronts only. He is a dominant horse in the herd. He’s been pastured with other horses, mares and geldings as well as alone. He will stall or pasture, but needs daily turn out to run. I absolutely love this horse and he’s being sold due to no fault of his own. He is too much horse for my 11 year old beginner daughter and is not best suited for the arena events I do for fun.
