4 yr old gorgeous buttermilk buckskin registered Paso Fino gelding. Tonto is one special dude!! Despite his age, he is safe for anyone to ride. He has been “started right” (professionally trained) for over a year, and continues to have pro-training 4 days a week. He does great in arena, obstacle course, and loves the trails. He’s been in our youth lesson program for the past 6 months, and helped build confidence in our youth Spring Break camp in March. He goes out happily on trails by himself; is not herd bound, buddy sour, or barn sour. Will easily go in front, middle, or back of the group. Fantastic smooth gaits, also walks on a loose rein. Brio 3/10 (low to medium) Very brave, and has incredible controlled, smooth canter. Picks up both leads. He’s trail ridden all over Texas, as well as northern New Mexico. Climbs up and down mountains, crosses streams, bridges, ditches, and is calm in traffic. Sure-footed, self regulates speed down hills. Can be ridden with 1 or 2 hands, has great neck rein and stop, moves off leg pressure with ease. Pivots easily, both directions. Gets along great with mares and geldings, bottom of pecking order. Straight legs and hard feet, 100% sound. Champion bloodlines. He is super sweet, loves people! Gives hugs and kisses to all, especially fond of the kids. Absolute snuggle bug. Leaves his food to be with people. Great ground manners…. Stands still when tied, groomed, fly sprayed, bathed, clipped, is easy for the farrier, and hops right in trailer. Stands perfectly still when mounting and dismounting. Don’t miss out on this very special boy! Videos on request. He’s already a fantastic brave trail horse, and will also make a great show horse if that’s the direction you want to go. He’s very flashy and will get you noticed, and he’s not hard to handle. Great combination all-around boy! He is so versatile! Ridden bareback in a halter, Western saddle with straight bit, English saddle with snaffle. Easy going, and is happy to carry you down the trail in anything you put on him. 😊 He’s currently at 13.3h with a small build, so I’d prefer he go to a home for children, or small adult. He is expected to mature to 14.2h, so plenty of growing still to do. I just had a PPE done on him (April 17, 23) by a 3rd party, non-biased veterinarian I've never used before, for my peace of mind, and yours. He's sound and healthy in every way. Also did all the annuals, vaccines, Coggins, and teeth floated April 2023. Located in Bulverde, just north of San Antonio TX.
