Standing at 15.1hh and around 1150 lbs, Peter is an elegant, intelligent, willing, hard-working, kind, and sensitive horse. No vices. Loads greatl, travels well, ties, bathes, tacks up, stands politely to be mounted, stands to be blow dried/vacuumed, great for the farrier, no bite, bolt, kick, rear, buck etc. Has good bone and good-sized hooves. Could probably use shoes or boots over rocks unless he found a home where it was dry for more than 3 months a year.
Peter was shown from 2009-2010, in hand and also driving. He is not spooky or silly. He will make someone a wonderful partner and best friend. He has a huge heart and loves to be loved on. Stalls well/tidy and has been turned out with mares, geldings, and a stallion. His full brother is a barn favorite and both have incredible work ethics.
To no fault of his own, he spent the last several years living the couch potato life. He’s been getting in shape and has just finished 90 days of training - he is green. His owners are simply downsizing.
This sweet and friendly gelding will do best with a confident, fun rider who likes to have adventures and who is also sensitive to help him blossom. Peter would excel in Working equitation, trail courses, trails, camping, playdates, western dressage, dressage, and more.
A good home and match are top priorities.
