Hercules is a 9 year old Thoroughbred gelding who retired from racing in March of 2020. He has since been retrained in basic English pleasure riding, with no specific disciplinary focus. He has a big beautiful trot and canter, moves well off the leg, and collects at the trot. He responds well to a simple snaffle, bitless bridle, and even a neck rope! He suffered a small tendon tear in his right front fetlock in 2020 and again in 2021, so he would be best suited for flatwork only.
Hercules is a sweet boy with a good temperament, not overly spooky although he can be a bit sassy sometimes! He has been barefoot for over a year now and is doing well as such, with the farrier trimming to address a negative coffin bone angle in both hind hooves that was causing soreness previously. He is up to date on all vaccines and dental work as of April 2023. Stands well for grooming, tacking, bathing, clipping, farrier, and vet. Loads and trailers well. No vices.
