Big Al is such a love, and kids are his favorite!!! He's taken many beginners, and even small kiddos, on trail rides with the utmost of care for them. So soft and responsive to pressure, we ride him in just a halter and usually bareback. He taught me to drive and is such and absolutely kind and forgiving teacher.

He does have arthritis and sidebone which doesn't interfere with light riding, though does limit his ability to pull anything heavy or be ridden heavily. He loves to tote the kids around though, and is definitely husband safe for light riding. We ride him regularly on lots of hills and he holds up great for our several mile trail rides. He often feels up to trotting and cantering (such a fun slow rocking horse canter he has!), though we take it day by day and don't ask him to if he's not feeling it (because he would anyway, he's such a pleaser). Comes with his full harness, collar, and single tree. He absolutely LOVES to tote the kids around, though he loves kind adults too (especially if they have cookies). Great manners, up to date on health care. Wonderful home a must!
