Hesper is a been there done that horse with a fantastic never quit work ethic. She trail rides, works cows, ropes, ponies young horses and teaches them manners, drags the sled with hay to feed in the winter, has gone on numerous packing and camping trips, has been shown in Working Equitation, is an official Level 4 graduate of the Parelli program, and continues to learn and grow as an athlete. Hesper’s ideal person is an ambitious, confident rider, looking for an equine partner to have fun with doing a job, whether it be with cows, speed events, roping, or even western dressage. Hesper has never missed a day of work in her life, has wonderful ground manners, is an exceptional traveler, is perfect for the farrier, and just generally knows the rules and plays by them. Videos upon request. Hesper has been my “go to” horse for the past eight years. I am finding though that the best way for me to help other horses become “go to” horses for their humans, is to send my best horses out into the world, so I have the time and energy to give to the ones that still need more. I have jokingly called Hesper my Mary Poppins horse, because she is “practically perfect.” She was started under saddle by Nathan Bowers as a 3yr old, and she is an official Level 4 graduate of the Parelli program, which means she is a wonderful liberty horse, can do lots of cool groundwork, can be ridden bridle-less (and do flying lead changes) and knows her dressage basics. Hesper is an ambitious, athletic, horse with an incredible never quit work ethic, looking for her next human to continue her journey with.
