Sugar is an 18 year old quarter horse with a ton of life left for her next person. Sugar has an amazing work ethic and has excelled in many different riding disciplines. She has mostly been used for barrel racing & gaming for the past few years, which she really enjoys. She is a consistent 3D/4D barrel horse and is patterned on all gaming events. She runs low 11's in Figure 8 and recently ran a 23 in poles. She knows that gaming is a job, so she will walk out of line quietly and will lope a nice circle before running. She's a push style horse that has plenty of speed and also plenty of rate. Sugar has extensive training in reining and cutting and is a fancy broke horse with all of the buttons. She has been shown in ranch horse versatility, team sorting, mountain trail, & English equitation classes, as well as being on a women's drill team for a year. She is a very fun cutting horse and knows exactly how to track a cow, so hang on when it turns back! She's also a great trail riding horse that walks slow on a loose rein. She has been to the beach, roads, and on hiking trails many times. Sugar has a great temperament and is extremely safe to be around on the ground. She loves to be brushed and get attention from her owner. You can hose her off, fly spray, pick feet, etc. without even holding her lead rope. She gets right in a trailer and backs out calmly. She does have a scar on her front leg from an old bowed tendon injury (3+ years ago) but she has been consistently sound and it doesn't cause her problems. Other than that, she is in excellent health and requires no regular maintenance. I think Sugar would be perfect for an intermediate or advanced rider. She is well broke and minds well, but she is a very athletic horse with a big motor and will sometimes test a new rider, so she needs someone that isn't afraid to correct her when needed. She does spook at times and moves quickly to get past whatever is scaring her, however she has never bucked, reared, or taken off while riding and it's always very easy to get her mind back on her job. I have had beginner riders on her and she has always taken care of them, but she would really excel with someone that has experience riding a fancy broke horse and knows what buttons she has.
