Spirit is going to do big things and make his new owner one heck of a partner! Not to mention... he's stunning! This young man is fit for any ring, any style of riding, any saddle and any outdoor adventure. He's a quick study and makes training a pleasant experience. Properly started with all foundation ground work, desensitization, lunging and free lunging. Under saddle he has a solid walk/trot/canter, light aids, responsive to your seat, self carriage, balancing, bending, moves off your leg, has a great stop and right now learning to set his head. The video is from 6 months ago and he’s carrying himself more now . He’s the same after sitting for a while .. has never offers an attitude, buck, bolt or rear. Spirit will move to the mounting block with snapping your fingers, he rides bridle-less, neck reins, direct rein, uses a simple snaffle bit in the ring and on the trails. Spirit is an easy ride and doesn't require a lot of leg- he's a "set it and forget it" kind of horse, take up contact or throw away the reins and his speed stays consistent. Spirit's disposition and mind are set to please you. Spirit has a silly and fun personality but when it's time to work, he is all business. He takes new training with ease, willingness and retention. His ground manners are impeccable. He ground ties, cross ties, picks up all four feet and holds them up for you, great with baths, sprays, clipping and tacking. Stands like a gentleman for the vet and farrier. Spirit has hit the trails a handful of times and every time he outdid his older counter partner. He seriously puts the fun in trail riding. No stress loading and unloading, will stand tied to the trailer or ground tie. Spirit is calm and cool in any situation I put him in. When another horse is nervous he remains calm and even takes the lead. Doesn't mind loud machinery and will literally go wherever you point him. Mounting and dismounting out on the trails is a breeze. He will go through thick brush, rocky terrain, up and down hills, over bridges, through the thick woods and absolutely loves water. Spirit is a super easy keeper, barefoot, he’s on the schedule for spring shots, teeth done last year.
