Alvin is a 2017 OTTB gelding who retired from the race track about one year ago. He stands 16.1ish hands and is THICK! When you think of an OTTB this horse is the exact opposite in almost every aspect. He is darn near unflappable, very steady, 0 vices, 0 injuries, and is very AA/kid friendly. He is more on the quiet side of the spectrum. But will stride out with leg on. Has a nice big step and is learning to sit on his haunches. This horse has everything going for him and definitely could dabble in a bit of everything. He is going to be an excellent prospect for someone who can see a superstar in their blossoming phase. He came to us very lean and is just about at the end of his weight gaining journey. He is picking up collection quickly but needs more time to learn all the fancy things. He is solid WTC, whoa, trail rides, ground poles, etc. He did have a good battle with a large abscess last fall that is more than half way grown out. We are working with an awesome farrier who has him set up in custom shoes that are setting him up for better heel growth. (He came with the flatter TB feet) and it has been dramatically helping him. He will be able to transition out of these shoes into regular steel shoes soon. And is BARE in the back! Other than that he is simply straight forward with no lumps, bumps, or scars. And will make someone seriously happy for a VERY long time. Snohomish WA (425)903-6160
