Rocco is athletic, handsome, and has very nice gaits. He is also fairly dominant and needs a strong rider mentally. Perfect ground manners, has been trace clipped twice, trailers, ties, etc. He is just more horse than I have time for. He seems to dislike arena work, and I am an aspiring ( and ageing) Dressage Queen. I have had his saddle fitted to him, had him checked by two vets, one of whom was a chiropracter, and they found no issues. He has also been treated for ulcers. Out on the trail he is nice and very controllable, although very keen to his surroundings. He can read his rider like a book, and requires someone confident and calm. He doesn't buck or bolt, but has been known to spin if frightened of something....but easily brought under control. Goes in a double link snaffle. He knows leg yield, backing, shoulder in, and haunches in and out, and understands the half-halt and the aids for all three gaits. He will act ring sour after 1/2 hour or so in the arena, and want to get fussy and try to go back to the barn. I have not jumped him. I can send pictures but will get more as soon as the weather gets better, as all the ones I have are old. This picture is from last year and he has probably put on 50 pounds since then. I will happily take more pics for interested parties. I have many video clips of his movement I can send via Messenger on Facebook. We have never clicked and I've decided it's time to move on.
