Well broke and seasoned QH Cross mare. 16+ years old. approx. 15.2hh tall. Reason for selling: To many projects and animals so we're downsizing. SongBird is very responsive, willing, aware, and quick learner as long as you listen to her and don’t force her around. She’s smarter than most horse owners. If you listen and pay attention to what she’s telling you she will do anything for you, but try to force her and she’ll get nervous and fight ya. She’s not for a greenhorn on horses but with someone educated that's watching, anyone can ride her. Training: Trained using Clinton Anderson methods. Outstanding ground manners, she'll stick with you like your shadow if you ask her to. Takes care of her rider if the rider takes care of her. -Extensive Liberty Work -Obstacle Training -Ridden in events along roads and all over the mountains. -Leads,Loads, Ties, Trims. She has never been shod. -Stands quietly to tack up and rides out easy. Good stop and back up -Direct drive or neck rein. Flexes good, pretty soft head -Yields Hind end/fore quarters away or towards you for mounting block -Will bow or lay down so you can mount up in style. -She is phenomenal in a hackamore, however does not like to listen to a bit. -Desensitized her to everything we could think of on ground and in saddle from raincoats and hats to flapping loose clothing at all speeds. New things do make her uncomfortable. -Exposed to dirtbikes, guns, dogs, and livestock. -Introduced to side passing -Hobbles David does a lot of 'throw to a stop' and instilling that when something spooks them to stop and the pressure will leave, by replacing the flight or fight and instilling confidence in trusting the rider and standing to remove what makes her nervous. We have some video’s and pics of some of our training and you can look on David Dunn's Facebook for her ad with videos: www.facebook.com/david.dunn.3532 Location: Valley Wa. 8 miles west of Chewelah. 50 miles north of Spokane, WA Price $5000
