Meet Papa John!
Papa is a 14 year old, Gaited Spotted Draft Cross gelding standing 14.2 hands. Papa is an easy keeper and beginner safe he rides English, western and bareback. This guy is a Cadillac to stroll down the trails or around town. Papa is 14.2 but extremely stout with a nice solid big hoof. Papa has been on miles of trails, camped out, done little play day events and has also been used to pony the young colts. Papa is the first one to the gate at feeding time and lives great alone or in a herd. He is extremely gentle in the pasture, has no bad habits in or out of the barn and minds his own business when turned out in groups. He is extremely smart about all challenging obstacles you may come across like crossing bridges, steps, water, tractors, other livestock, tarps, loud traffic and even the highway. Papa will self load and stand extremely patiently even when left alone. He is a good boy for his trims with the farrier and also very good for the vet. One of Papas favorite things is his fan in his stall and getting baths. He is extremely good with fence and even respects one strand temporary wire. Riding alone he’s a very good boy and in groups he will lead or follow and does not mind leaving the group to go in another direction. He stands quiet tied to a trails or a hitching post and will also stand perfect in the cross ties waiting to be groomed and tacked up. Papa will make a lovely addition to any farm and a reliable mount for any level or size rider looking for a safe and smooth gelding.
