This is a very sweet guy! He matured slowly so he has only been started under saddle for a year but only ridden a little bit to let his body fill out. He looked like a big baby for a long time. He is tall, he is at least 16 hands. He is also starting to fill out and look like a horse so he is ready to go find a home that is going to enjoy him. He is easy to get into his gait and I do not have to hold him in it. Very comfortable to ride. He is purebred, both parents were papered but it is one of those stories where the owner did not know she was pregnant when she got her but the farm she came from had three registered TWH studs there. He is really pretty - a more narrow build but not wimpy. He is the kind that could look good doing gaited dressage. He is very elegant. However, he is also great on the trail. He has not spooked or looked at anything. He is very calm and quiet. He is barefoot. His only issues are that he needs someone who is not going to be a bully or rough with him as it makes him sullen. He needs someone who will be strict but kind. He would do great in a routine. However, if you do not go do anything with him, he is still calm and cheerful. He is the first horse up to see me when I go to the barn and he likes to hang out with me while I am there - with his ears up and his eyes smiling always. He has had a bit in his mouth and that was fine but I do ride him in a hackamore. He knows very little - just how to be saddled, bridled, mounted, walk, flatfoot walk, running walk (which is like the trot if you are not familiar) but he does not have canter yet under saddle. Though I may have experienced that when climbing a hill on the trail. He has been on the trail a few times and ridden all over my field. But he is very green as he is only 4 years old (just turned 4) and we chose to wait to start him when he was 3 and even then decided his back looked too young to carry a person and we waited another year. He loves people - he wants to find his person and be your heart horse!
