Walter was purchased as a weanling from his breeder, the Maynard Alves Ranch of Terrebonne, Oregon in 2009 and came to live at our family dude ranch, where he became a co-worker and family member.
Started as a two-year-old Walter quickly became a guide horse, and at five he graduated to dude horse where for 6 years he traversed the wilderness of the Deschutes National Forest with inexperienced tourists.
In addition to being a trail horse, Walter does arena work and has been hauled to clinics and rides out alone. He's soft in the face and mouth - goes and whoahs - leg yields - backs - walk/jog/extends trot/lope/canter - bathes/clips - loads/hauls - ties in rope halter but is known to pull back - needs shod regular
Walter made the move from Oregon to Ohio in 2020 and prior had been hauled regularly.
Up to date on worming/vaccination/neg. coggins and ready to go.
