Margot- 2016 bay mare TB. JC Kilasa, won 42,000 with 4 firsts. 15.1hh. W/T/C knows both leads and has simple changes. Knows bends, counter bends and leg yields. Goes out western or English. Stands for ferrier, ties, loads, bathes. You can tack and mount on left or right side. Super soft in the mouth, prefers a rider with a soft forgiving hand (as I'm sure most horses do) and rides out in a leather or rubber bit (and maintains her ability to stop). Knows "whoa," and will hault on an exhale. Knows a bit of neck reining.
Mare-ish quality? REQUIRES a fleece lined girth cause she is a special princess.
Bomb proof on the trail- a pheasant flew under her with no spook. Trails great alone or in company and doesnt care if shes front, back or next to the leader. Crosses water. Can hack out in a halter w/t/c through a field and still has breaks. Never spooks but when she has its always in place.
Husband proof- my non-horse mother has ridden her W/T, and fiance has w/t/c and taken her over small jumps. Is the same horse if you ride her every day of the week or give her a week or month off. Shes got a great brain between her ears. Have SKIJORED with her, with videos as proof! Has shown BN eventing and has never stopped at a jump. Real easy to a jump, no rush toward or after.
Super sweet mare, bottom of the totem pole in pasture. Does great in pasture with little to no maintenance.
Currently barefoot and in light work, with hard work would probably need at least front shoes.
She is safe but not a dead head, shes an OTTB afterall so shes got some speed under her belt and can really go when you want her to. So is not a straight beginner safe horse. She could easily do an at home stable show- but does not want a competitive show home.
Recently passed a breeding soundness exam with flying colors and with her great brain and size I think would make amazing appendix babies.
Is an OTTB so has some standard maintenance needs related. Does not stall well, gets anxious and ulcers every time. Had a stall related injury winter 2021 and is completely rehabbed from it. Happy to share all details with serious inquires.
