JJ is a 10 year old Friesian/Percheron gelding standing 16 hands high. This is every amateurs, trainers, and parents dream horse. He is the most reliable trail master, a solid 1st level dressage mount, loves to go cross country, jumps up to 3”3, and would make a fabulous hunt horse as well. He has been to local schooling shows, clinics, camping trips, and many hunter paces. He rides English, western, and bareback. There is truly nothing you cannot do with this horse. To top it all off, he has a loving personality and a very sweet, gentle nature. He has the best attitude, a great brain, and has been safe and reliable in every situation we have put him in. Whether you want to show, trail ride, or anything in between, JJ is up for the adventure! In the ring, JJ is doing 1st level dressage tests and schooling 2nd level movements. He has one of the nicest, most adjustable canters that you’ll find on a draft cross. He listens well to voice commands, seat, and leg cues. He knows basic lateral work and neck reins! JJ can take a joke and is very forgiving of his rider. JJ will pop around a course in the ring, but most of his jumping experience is out jumping hunt type fences such as walls, ditches, coupes, etc. On the cross country course, JJ has schooled ditches, small trakehners, banks, and jumps in and out of the water complex. JJ can be enjoyed by almost any level rider. He has the talent and foundation to excel in any direction, yet is also forgiving and easygoing with a rider who is still learning. On the trails, JJ will not disappoint. You can ride him on the buckle, or with just a rope around his neck, all day long and he will always take care of his rider. He will trail ride and hack out alone, in a group, or off property in a new place. He is very used to loading up in the trailer and going on trail rides or weekend camping trips with friends. JJ crosses water, bridges, roads, rides around cattle, and more. He will stop and stand when asked, will stand to be mounted from the ground or from a log, and will stand tied. He is a very experienced trail mount, and not to mention a very handsome one! On JJ, you will be the talk of the trails. Every trip or hunter pace he goes on he gets more compliments than any other horse in the barn! On the ground, JJ is gentle and sweet. He has a fantastic personality and is aware of his size. He is frequently handled by the children at the farm, and can be bathed, groomed, and brought in and out from the field by them. He stands like a gentleman on the crossties, and when tied to the trailer. He is a very patient and loving horse that adores his people. JJ is happy living inside, or out in a mixed herd of mares and g
