Molon Lave 🦆Ducky🦆 - 03/31/2019 Chestnut TB Gelding - track trained, never raced - would pass for a QH, stocky and thick I bought Ducky to work with while waiting on my 2 year old to grow up, before falling in love with him and realizing that he was a super cool dude. He was given March to August off to let his feet harden up (and because I had too many other horses, since I wasn’t concerned about moving him on he just sat) and has been sound ever since, straight tight legs & doesn’t fall apart when left to sit. He has been kept in a stall alone, paddock with another gelding, or a pasture with 2 mares and another gelding. He stays fat on air (was not given hay the entire time he was in pasture), but doesn’t get hot on grain/supplements. He’s the only horse I’ve never had to take the the vet, I’ve always vaccinated and wormed him myself. He is gentle and cuddly, with more woah than go, but does need a rider strong/confident enough to keep him going. He is safe for a beginner with a trainer, as he has been used as a lesson horse for anywhere from 3 year olds up to first time riders - but would prefer his own consistent person. Has been ridden in a smooth 3 piece up to a short shank correction, is stout enough he could drag a calf but smart footed enough to excel in the hunters or jumpers. I want Ducky to go to the perfect home that will love him the way I do, I just don’t have the time for all of my horses. He loads and hauls, good with needles and orals, front shoes only, stands tied (can occasionally pull back when spooked). Located in Santa Rosa, CA. Please PM me with any questions. REDUCTION due to sitting, fault of me not having the time... mid x,xxx.
