Harvey is a 13yo, 13.2 hand, pony halter gelding that is looking for a step down job. Harvey is extremely sweet and has fantastic ground manners. He ties, bathes, loads, stands for farrier and vet. Harvey has been in our lesson program for 7 years and has developed heaves within the last 2 years that unfortunately is not conducive to our arena environment (outdoor sand with no watering capabilities). Harvey lives outside and is happy with wet hay and minimal grain. Weather changes prove difficult for Harveys condition and he needs a few days and some clenbuterol to acclimate during these times. Most recently, we have done a nebulizer with dexamthosone before riding which seems successful for 30 minutes under saddle. We have not pushed him past this riding time yet as we have been taking everything one step at a time. He is an easy keeper and has always been barefoot. He is great for hunter/jumper, eventing, and trail riding. He is a very steady ride and has taught many kiddos to trot and canter on the lunge line. He successfully took his last kid from WT crossrails to 2'3" courses. Harvey has taught beginners through advanced riders and we have not found any "scary" jumps that he doesnt like. Currently he is in wtc flat work 3 days a week but needs more stamina to jump again. He loads and travels well, he is the same pony on and off property. Harvey has taught beginners but really loves to have a job and prefers a mix of beginner and intermediate riders. His go to "attitude" is coming off the rail if he gets bored with too many beginners riders. We are looking for the right placement for Harvey with a home that could possibly trail ride him or ride him on grass/in non dusty arenas. Harvey is super sweet and we want to find the best next home for him! More information on his condition and treatments to seriously interested parties. Asking 3k with priority being the best home for him!
