She has been de sensitized and had a western saddle on her numerous times and has carried a bit in her mouth numerous times as well.......... and I have just recently had my professional trainer start to ride her.....she just turned 3 years old in August......and we have done a lot of ground work, and light lunging work, as well as round pen work, and have begun ground driving in a surcingle.... She has been "mounting block" desensitized numerous times, and has had ropes and sacks and plastic bags rubbed all over her legs, belly, neck and over head swinging in the air.........she has adjusted to the work very well......and learns things quickly. She also knows walk, trot , canter and whoa verbal commands in the round pen as well as "back".......and has had some in hand work also.
She has had a lot of time put into her and my trainer sat on her for the first time a couple weeks ago in Sept and even was able to walk her under saddle around our 80 ft round pen !!!!!.....and she was absolutely perfect....no issues what so ever....no resistance, no problem!!! We will be riding her for the next 2 months to get her going under saddle for arena work as well as trail riding.
She has great feet, and absolutely is a dream for the farrier to trim. She adores being groomed.....and is super affectionate.....and curious. She is totally smitten with our basset hound dog......and she has become best buds with our orange barn cat!!
