Looking for a good trail horse that you can take camping, trail riding and play on obstacles with? Do you also enjoy arena work? Do you want a friend as well as a trail buddy? This horse does not lack in charm and personality. Body work, shoes on all 4, worming and vaccines current. He rides on the trail or in an arena, walk/trot/canter on the rail and off, side pass, open gates. He comes to you on a fence or mounting block, stands to be mounted and waits calmly while you get situated. You can mount and dismount from either side from the ground, fence, stump or mounting block. In-hand and under saddle all his body parts move independently. Virgil has many many miles of trails under his belt, and lots of obstacle work as well. Balance beams, teeter totter, bridges and floating bridges. Will enter and cross water, still working on the water box. He will ride all day then stand tied to a tree or your trailer for a picnic or camping over night. I have personally helped round up cows on him. I have also personally taken him swimming. I can't throw a rope to save my life however so I haven't done that with him. I don't do gaming so I don't know how he'd do. Do you like to crack a cold one or two on a trail ride? Virgil is there for it. Might want to bring an extra for him though. And a cookie or two. Ride through your neighborhood, past cars and trucks, crossing roads and share the trail with dogs, other horses, and bicycle riders. In front or in back of the pack. From Redmond Watershed to Jo Watt to the Alpine Lakes wilderness. Also participated in the John Wayne Ride last summer for a week of trail riding and camping tied to the trailer over night. Virgil is light in the bridle, and sensitive to your leg. He lopes off your seat. He stops off your seat. You do not need spurs on this horse. Loads like a dream, backs out nice or turns around, hauls like a dream you'll forget he's there. I suggest an intermediate to advanced rider because he is so responsive. You will appreciate all of his buttons. Virgil is not a dead head. He is attentive and alert and always 'with you'. He does not bolt, buck, bite or rear. He is not papered. 15.2/15.3 about 900-950lbs ish? I have 8 million photos from swimming, to cows to trail riding and a couple videos of obstacle work. Please feel free to text or call 360-229-1395
