Gwen is the perfect young prospect! She was started with Michael Cuevas of MC performance horses, then went into reining training with JR Robles and has most recently been with Amanda Marriott learning to run barrels!
Beyond all her professional training she has sorted cows with both youth and adult riders, trail rides, beach rides, mountain rides, playdays, rodeo bible camp, extreme mountain trail courses- you name it she’ll do it. This year she’s been a Jr miss Queen horse! Adding Parades and run ins to her resume!
Gwen is safe safe safe. No nonsense or silly business. She can sit for two weeks and ride off the same without lunging. More whoa than go, until you ask her for go! She’s the one you can plop a beginner on for a trail ride, She’s happy to plod along.
Great stop and turn around, has speed when asked but will not take off. She’ll give as much as you ask for. She has a cute slow jog but is more forward at the lope- so I would recommend someone comfortable with loping before sending them off!
You can ride her in anything, she runs best in a little s hack. Trail rides and sorts cows in anything! Even a halter!
Great for the farrier- you don’t even have to tie or hold her.
Good to be clipped although we’ve never done her ears.
Prefers to live out but has been in a stall full time too. Her ideal set up is a pasture with run in shelter. She’s great in a herd, bottom of the pecking order.
Only for sale as kid cannot keep up with 3 horses and picked her show horses.
UTD on all care. Light front end maintenance, mostly preventative. Wedge pads on fronts and osphos. Price reflects this- not her quality.
