Joey and Dartanyan are a pair of geldings looking for their new home together! They are both really fun and would be a great pair to take on trails, lowkey shows, playdays, obstacle courses, etc! Joey is a gorgeous AQHA registered buckskin under the name Sir Im Mister. He is 15.2hh and 9 years old. Joey can ride English and western, and will ride bareback. He rides in a bridle or halter, and can neck rein. Joey is a great all around horse and is very versatile. He is good around cows and I have used him to help herd a small group before. Joey will ride out alone and in a group. Joey has been ridden at a few shows and handled the environments well. He has trotted the figure 8, poles, and barrel pattern a few times. Joey has had some intro level training in both dressage and western halter classes, and showed in each of those once. Joey has ridden in all kinds of environments including at shows, forested and open trails, through bison and all types of terrain in Yellowstone National Park, sand dunes, lakes, arenas, pastures, and more. If you name it he can ride there. Joey has been inside houses and garages. He stands tied. Joey loves kids, he will go right up to them and sniff them and nuzzle them. You can put young kids on his back and lead him around and he will take care of them. He will slowly follow a kid leading him around. He would be a great horse for family shows. Ride him in a walk/trot class, take him to a leadline class with your littles, and then show him off in halter. He does not have a lot of get up and go, so he would not be competitive in speed events but is still a fun ride. Dartanyan is an incredibly sweet OTTB with a wonderful personality. He is dark bay, 16.3hh, and 14 years old. His temperament is also around a 4. He often goes by the nickname "D". D is Jockey Club registered under the name Far Out and has great breeding and many notable horses in his pedigree. D has ridden mostly English and a little bit of western, and you can hop on him bareback. He can ride in an English bridle and goes really well in a halter. D has ridden mainly on trails and in pastures but could be great for lowkey shows alongside Joey. He has beautiful movements and would be a good intro level dressage prospect. D needs a confident rider who knows what they are doing and can support him. He is a great ride and a willing partner. D does get herd bound and attached to Joey so this is something he will need help with. They are both barefoot and sound. They trailer, blanket, bathe, and trim well. They thrive on lots of human interaction, love spending time with their people, and come to their names and whistling. They have lived in herds before and get along well with others. Joey and D will need some work put into them because I have not been able to keep them ridden and in shape. All they need is to get started back into regular work and they will be great! They are worth their weight in gold and will be your best friends for years to come!
