Vital, Chestnut Tobiano gelding looking for a soft place to land 🤎 Vital is a wonderful and loving horse, ready to step down and be a light riding pasture pet. Listing for free to an exceptional home, who is comfortable with his maintenance. Starting with his maintenance. He has Cushings that is well controlled on 1 Prescend daily, no metabolic syndrome at this point. He does have front pads that are a precaution because he used to be tender footed and get abscesses. I’ve kept pads on him for three years now and had no issues or abscesses in these last three years. He probably doesn’t need the pads anymore. He did have a leg injury in Nov. 2021 that has healed leaving an ugly scar. I keep his back leg covered year round with a fly boot, or winter protective boot, to prevent any injury to the area. Because of this injury Vital was cleared only for light riding by my veterinarian. He takes equioxx if being ridden consistently. For light riding once or twice a week equioxx is not needed. Additionally, Vital has been known to become stud-like in mixed pastures. He loves the ladies, just too much to share them. He does best with just geldings, or could be a buddy to a mare without other geldings. Ending on a positive note if you’ve made it this far. Vital is a wonderful, goofy, loving horse with an in your pocket type attitude. He loves being doted on. Vital excels as a trail horse, and has been ridden Western and English. Vital has worked with a trainer for the last year and is going well under saddle. He is best suited for an advanced beginner, but would also do great as a husband horse, or a fun kid’s pony too. He rides in a bit, or just a hackamore. He is the same for every ride — you could pull him out of the pasture after weeks off and he will still be the same boy 🤎 Vital is UTD on all shots, coggins, and recently had his teeth done.
