He’s been here a few months and the setup at my new farm just doesn’t work for him. He is difficult to keep front shoes on here and I have big pastures that make it so much easier to pull them. I didn’t have this problem at the last farm. He was turned out alone in a paddock there and did great that way. My farrier and I are both waving the white flag on trying to manage him here. He didn’t race but did train and is RRP eligible. Reportedly was “too slow”. We’ve been on him a few times and he is pretty damn slow - very huntery. He’s a big bodied, pretty thing with a huge ornery personality. Videos available from when I bought him directly off the track and a little bit of his rides. He is a baby so no he will not take care of your grandma or 5 year old. He’s an ornery horse in general and will take someone with a sense of humor, he does nothing naughty under tack but is just a greenie. His feet are going to need a few shoe cycles, please do not contact me if you need a barefoot horse or can’t provide him with adequate farrier / management. We’ve got him to the point where he’s got a great heel on him and his toes have been brought back to where they need be. A shoe cycle or two of glue on shoes would be ideal before switching back to nail ons.

I am open to offers for this reason, please don’t contact me if you are expecting him to be perfect and ready to go. He is not, he is a PROJECT and I’m open to reasonable offers for a reason. If he stays and we are able to get the shoeing situation under control here he’ll be back where he was listed previously.
