Everyone who meets Steel is impressed by his size, build and amazing color. He is a big boned boy who can carry a wide size range of riders. He loads great, stands in the trailer for hours both on the move as well as at stops, rides with mares and geldings and has been off the property a lot. His trot and canter are so smooth you can sit it while sipping your favorite drink! Steel stands tied, is soft in the halter and bridle and is a rock while being mounted. He has had two trims on his feet and stands better than some of our domestic horses. He’s been out on the road, around lots of different dogs, people and farm machinery. Steel is very careful where his feet are, thoughtful about his moves and incredibly strong so I think he would be a great trail or all around horse. . Steel is a sensitive horse who needs a calm, confident leader who won’t be intimidated by his size. He learns quickly and isn’t afraid to try again if he does something like hit his head while going through a gate. He does fine with a few days off, picks up where we left off with a quick refresher and will progress quickly as he gains confidence in his new adopter. Steel has a great foundation, a lot to offer his next person and will make a solid, lifelong equine partner. Steel is a BLM mustang who is part of the MYWY TIP challenge program. I am sad to see him go but excited that the foundation I’ve given him will help him find his forever home. . Steel is available at the MYWY Auction August 13 at the Washington State Horse Park in Cle Elum, WA. Please see www.MYWY.org for details.
