Latte is part of the MYWY TIP challenge mustang makeover event and has been a super fun project this summer. Latte is a Labrador Retriever in a cute, flashy mustang body that is going to make someone a great new equine parter. . He's super friendly, adorable, quick learner and full of fun. He loads right into the trailer every time, stands calmly while riding as well as at stops and has trailered with both geldings and mares. He has ridden off property, out on the road with cars, in the field with cows, not herd bound or barn sour, has spent many nights happily in a stall, ties well and loves to play with his water trough. Getting on Latte is super easy because of his great size and how still he stands. I've gotten on from the ground, mounting block, fences and he lets my dog ride with me in the saddle. In late June, Latte and I attended a de-spooking clinic where we walked through smoke, fire, participated in a drill around fire truck airhorns and barking dogs as well as the always terrifying pool noodles. He did better than most of the domestic horses in the clinic despite it being his first ride off property and in a group. . Latte would be a great first mustang project for someone. He wants to please and has a lot of try. He’s been around cars, farm machinery, livestock, over jumps, ridden out alone and in groups. He has some growing to do yet and I think will fill out to be quite stout. Latte is a great all around prospect with some speed and ready for an official job. . Latte is available at the MYWY Auction August 13 at the Washington State Horse Park in Cle Elum, WA. Please see www.MYWY.org for details.
