Acting just arrived at the farm after a brief stint in racing, retiring due to the slows. We picked her up and hauled her home ourselves and she was nothing short of a seasoned pro. Walked right on, stood quietly and unloaded well - went right to eating! Admittedly, I went shopping for a gelding and really wasn't trying to bring another girl home as the boys just can't seem to cope with a barn full of beautiful ladies ... but when they follow you up and down the fence line and move like her it's hard to ignore. She's been a no drama sort, quiet in the barn. She has been out alone but is currently out with another filly and they get along fine. Acting stood perfectly for her pictures, quite frankly she's so well minded we had a hard time getting her to look at our normal props! She's a stunning filly with a correct build already but I can only imagine what she's going to look like once she's fully mature and done growing.
We quickly assessed her at liberty and went down the jump chute a few times upon arrival. She's got a great walk and a superb trot! She was quick to the uptake in the jump chute and after a few times she was cantering right to it. It was sweltering in FL so we only could do so much but if she's not placed quickly we will do more in the chute. She was brave and honest, trotting up to the camera man at the end of every effort like "how was that!" . Acting is all class, incredibly sweet and very fancy. I believe she'll be sensible enough for an amateur but fancy enough for a pro or someone that wants to go be competitive horse showing. She is RRP eligible. No known injuries or vices.
July 27th she had her first ride post track. This lady tacked up like an old pro, quietly walked out to the arena, stood at the mounting block and walked off like a school horse. She explored the arena on a loose rein and went right to work. She walk trot cantered and popped over a few small fences. By the end of the ride she was really starting to soften through her body and make a nice shape. She went in just a snaffle, is a bit of a push ride and has great brakes. She did nothing naughty and is as sensible as they come. Definitely amateur / young rider friendly. Acting is a sweetheart who aims to please and is going to be a great partner!
