Mida Special VF 14 year old, 15.3 hh chestnut Arabian gelding UTD on teeth, vaccines, and farrier work Mickey is seeking his new home due to retirement from being an endurance horse. Mickey is sound for arena riding and light trails, but no longer sound for the 50 mile rides due to navicular changes. He had one dose of Osphos 1 year ago, and has been sound since for arena riding since, but has difficulty with downhills on trails. He is not a beer drinking, husband/kid trail horse. He currently wears shoes in the front with pads, and shoes behind. Mickey is gentleman and always strives to be a very good boy. He is a very sensitive soul, and needs his rider to be confident. Not suitable for an absolute beginner, but an intermediate rider with a trainer or above would have a blast with him. He has a previous career as a dressage horse, and is interested to returning to a life of arena work. He is light and sensitive in the bridle, and very responsive to leg cues. He is good for bathing, clipping, and veterinary care; but sedating for hind shoes makes everyone’s life easier. This likely wouldn’t be necessary if he didn’t have hind shoes. His ideal home would have him working regularly in an arena; have lots of loves and gentle pets, and bonus if he gets his own stall at night. The more pampering the better in his mind! He is easy to catch, and loves attention. He likes the hustle and bustle of larger barn, and does well when surrounded by lots of other horses. I do not have an arena at my property, so trial rides would have to be arranged at my trainer’s barn in Tacoma, WA.
