Carlton is a 4 year old true blue roan draft cross gelding standing 16.3 weighing 1400 lbs. Carlton is truly a once in a lifetime gelding. We have had Carlton for the past year and a half, and my oh my he if by far the best gelding we have ever had at our ranch. We have used Carlton on all aspects of ranch work, roping and doctoring sick sick calves, penning and sorting cattle, loading trucks,checking fences, you can rope any cow/calf in the pasture and safely doctor them on Carlton as he holds a tight rope. We have taken Carlton to numerous rodeos where he has carried the flag for the grand entree, we have picked up a few broncs and shagged bulls with him. Carlton is desensitized to everything you can think of, cars, Amish buggy’s, semis, deer, turkeys, fire works etc. we have taken Carlton to parades where there was all sorts of ruckus going on he never raised his head up for anything! You can shoot any caliber of gun or any type of bow off of Carlton he doesn’t care how loud or what you’re shooting he stands like a champion. Carlton also rides English, he has been started over the jumps and loves to do it. He has a very nice slow jog, soft cantor, a great stop , backs up correctly and neck rein’s perfect. Carlton has competed in extreme ranch horses events where he was tested going over bridges, riding beside a campfire, pulling logs, carrying supplies and he successfully completed all of his challenges. Carlton is the definition of the perfect horse. He stand for our 3 year old daughter to brush him, hug and kiss him, and give him treats. He stand to be mounted in and out of the arena, with or without a mounting block, he stands to be saddled, bridled, fly sprayed, clipped, bathed, brushed, and out farrier said he wish all horses were as good as Carlton to shoe. Carlton can be ridden bareback, and bridle less. There is literally nothing you can’t do on Carlton he is safe, safe, safe.
