Trooper was named for his willing disposition to try anything I have asked of him. I am a #1 roper and I have used Trooper to take roping lessons (both heading and heeling). At roping practices: steer stopping, heading and heeling. Roping Clinics: heeling. This spring I started heeling in jackpots and won $ in a 4 ½ roping. Trooper is quiet in the box, comes out smooth and runs hard to the steer - sometimes too hard. He can sometimes be long on go and short on whoa but so much fun to ride. He is smooth, quick on his feet and responsive. Trooper has great ground manners, ties, loads, hauls, shoes, bathes, etc. Not cinchy or cold backed. He is very alert and will startle in place or take a side step but he has never blown or bucked. He’s thin skinned & feely – does not require spurs to ride or rope. He measures between 14.2-14.3 and beautifully put together. Healthy, UTD on vaccines, teeth, worming, always shod, straight legged, good feet & conformation.
