We are always asked what discipline a horse is best suited for, and this mare can really go in any direction and be successful. She is easygoing and gentle, with a kind demeanor and willingness to please. We can see her being brought along in the show ring a bit more and going as a hunter, using her beautiful movement and being a dressage mount, or cashing in on her bravery and honesty and going the eventing route. She has 3 great gaits and a natural flying change. If English isn’t your thing, Bobbie also knows all about the western world. She neck reins, spins, backs, has a great stop, and enjoys working around the cows. She has gone to sorting and penning events, helped push our cows from pasture to pasture, and of course has been trail ridden extensively. Bobbie is a fantastic choice for the rider who wants a good mover in the show ring and a reliable trail horse for around the farm. In the ring, Bobbie has three smooth and comfortable gaits. She is a slow and steady type of ride, but will still move forward easily when asked. She picks up both leads, and has natural changes. She knows how to go in a frame, or stretch out on the buckle. She neck reins very well, steers and responds to the leg, and knows basic lateral work. She is schooling 1st level dressage tests and shows the ability to move up the levels easily in the right program. Bobbie was started over fences within the last year and a half, and has been nothing but brave and honest. She is naturally a good jumper and has been schooled up to 3’. On the trails, Bobbie is content and always up for an adventure. She rides alone or in a group, and shows all of the qualities of a great hunt horse, and could easily be brought into the hunt field. She stands tied to the trailer, stands to mount from the ground or logs, doesn’t mind dogs, cows, or other wild animals running and popping out of the woods, and is overall a solid citizen out of the ring. Bobbie has been ridden around traffic, through town, and all over the countryside. She will jump logs, coops, and any other obstacles her rider asks her to, and she will ride through water. Off property, Bobbie gets right to work. We trailer our horses off to trail rides, hunter paces, and other facilities for lessons and clinics quite often. Bobbie does not get worked up about a new environment and requires no prep. In the barn, Bobbie is not mare-ish and absolutely loves her people. She enjoys time being groomed, bathed, and loved on and is very polite in the barn. Bobbie is happy l
