2 year old registered Appaloosa colt. Has Rare gaited gene (estimated only around 10% of Appaloosas have it). Gait was known as Indian Shuffle in the old west. He trots or gaits at liberty. Ryder also has 2 LP genes meaning will always pass the Appaloosa characteristics to all foals. Also DNA tested negative for all inherited diseases, has 2 endurance trait genes as well as 2 curious trait genes. (So will want to look at and investigate rather than react & spook). Ryder is a bay with blaze and 3 socks. Breed him to your gaited mares for Walkaloosa foals or Appaloosa mares to continue the gaited Appaloosa trait. Or geld him for a super athletic trail horse with sense and endurance. I have a mare from same lines and tried out team penning with her, people couldn’t believe was first time working cattle as she was such a natural. Ryder has the same potential to be an all around horse. A brother to his sire is competing in endurance, recently completed a 50 miler. Ryder is is Pennsylvania. Over 15 hands and still growing.
