Ember is an exceedingly kind and gentle boy, 13-14 years young. Unfortunately severe navicular disease has ended his riding career. Can't say enough good things about his disposition- anyone can handle him on the ground, stands for the farrier, loves to be groomed and loved on. His previous owner was physically disabled, he would take her on short trail rides solo, safe as can be. With more active management of his condition there may be jobs he is still up for but would be costly to manage his pain. As it stands, would only recommend him as a companion horse or therapeutic pasture pet. He can be barefoot if he is just in the pasture (trims every 5 weeks), pretty easy keeper and just needs one equioxx a day for his achey foot. It breaks my heart to part ways with him, but I am a boarder and his situation is not sustainable. I would like to make contributions to his care in exchange for a periodic welfare check (by mutual agreement).
