Hankins Roan N Gold (Eli) is a 2016 King bred cow / ranch horse bred gelding. He was started professionally as a 4 year old. He has done some cow work, a couple ranch shows, a bit of trail riding has been to mammoth cave and did well. He absolutely loves obstacles. Has had a ton of ground work and knows the CA fundamental level as well as some liberty work. He has had ropes thrown off him but has not roped. Eli is good for the farrier and vet stands tied very well has never pulled back. Ground ties. Does fine with baths fly spray blankets and tacking. Not a huge fan of grooming as he has thin skin would rather be hosed off opposed to. Ring curried when muddy. Lowers his head in command for bridling and haltering. Loads and unloads in / off trailer great. Excellent in his stall quiet and clean. Also does good turned out. He needs at least an intermediate to advanced rider right now as he has not been ridden much in the last year due to owner’s health issues. Needs put back to work and then some finishing.
