Up for consideration LeDoux! Fondly referred to as DouxDoux, is a 2007 Paisley Dessert Mustang gathered at the end of 2012 and trained for the Mustang Million Challenge in Fort Worth Texas prior to me buying him in 2014. Since then Doux has been a trail and clinic horse, taught my niece how to ride and dabbled in WAHSET this last Spring. He likes cows but probably not a roper. WAHSET gaming events ended up not being his thing and he got sour in the gate at competitions with his rider. He is the type of horse you would think all day is for a beginner but he requires subtle support by managing him in his rectangle. Doux could match up easily with gaited horses or QH out on the trail. Around other horses he is a steady eddy and doesn't feed of their energy at all. He is mellow, Great ground manners, loads and hauls like a dream, smoooooth lope, bareback riders dream. Can have time off and be ridden without issue. With work could be a horse for disabled people that needs a horse that would lay down for them to mount. I've always ridden him in a snaffle, with WAHSET they require he be ridden in a "big boy bit"....he is much happier in the snaffle now, but will need work on his stop again not that he's going to run off. Right now on the trail he is also stopping and spinning to go back. Managing his rectangle will fix this. Staying focused on his rectangle lets you know what he does before he does what he does and you can correct it before it happens and it will eventually go away until you let someone that doesn't support him ride him again. He is a sweet and cuddly type horse, the way he looks at you makes you smile. I want to say he take a while to bond but its very subtle. You'd only notice after you had him for a while that he's more comfortable. When he was leased out that was the only time he wasn't the farriers favorite. I do not know what that was about, he's been 100% since being home. The reason I am considering selling him to the perfect home only is that I have more fun riding my mare sadly. She was less broke when I got her and more "me" but was recently diagnosed with navicular so I'm considering my riding future and only have room for two horses at a time. He is a great horse and I probably don't give him enough credit. I haven't even told friends I'm willing to sell him because they'll all think I'm crazy. Sound, sane and sweet 14.3 h about 1150 lbs
