Let me be the first to introduce this stunning 9 year old gelding. I have owned Chief for a little under three years, and I don’t have enough good things to say about this horse. With a kind eye and a willing mind, he’s the first horse I’ve owned that I felt I could take anywhere to do anything. In the time I’ve been able to spend with him, I’ve taken Chief cow sorting, I’ve ridden barrels with him, I’ve put him through drill teams, obstacle courses, and trails. He rides bareback, bridleless, he’s been in a war bridle, he’s had kids on his back, he’s had kids pulled behind him, there’s truly nothing this horse will not willingly do or try for me. Unfortunately, as I move into the next phase of my life where I graduate college and move into a full time job, I feel I cannot give this horse the time and effort he deserves. Chief loves having a job, and he can go truly all day if you let him. He just wants to please you, and he tries his very best to do so. This horse is truly one of a kind, and I’d love to see him with someone who just wants to go on an adventure with him and try new things. I think he would excel in roping, barrels, sorting, reining, trail horse and maybe even english! He’s got great confirmation, with strong hindquarters and a soft poll. Chief has big, but comfortable movement, and he doesn’t tire quickly. He always is the first to greet you and he loves to be doted on. He’s the type of horse who could stand all day, or he can be pulled from the pasture at any time ready to go anywhere. I have truly enjoyed every minute with this cool horse and can’t wait to see where he is taken!
