Sadly, it is time for me to part with Velvet. I'm too old to ride a young green horse and she needs to now bond with her forever owner. Velvet has so much going for her. She is beautiful, Western Working bred, with tons of confidence and go. She would make a good performance horse, driving horse or trail horse. It appears she will have her grandsire's awesome long wavy forelock and mane. She is a brown but color wise, looks like a black bay. She was DNA'd for several markers and she has brown and black base colors, brown agouti, one gait gene, one PSSM1 gene, the markers for confidence, and the markers for endurance. She is being sold at a reduced amount due to the fact that she lost an eye when she was only 10 months old to an accident in the pasture (no we don't know what happened). There is a good chance her forelock will grow out and cover the missing eye. The Vet said since she was so young when the accident happened, she will simply compensate for it and the loss of the eye won't diminish her abilities. Nothing scares her but she is opinionated. She loves to run in the pasture. She loads in a trailer, has her feet trimmed with power tools, and has had some ground work. We believe she will be approximately 15 hands at maturity and will be very solidly built like her dam. Her dam is my husband's number one trail horse. She will be sold to an approved home only.
