17 hand John mule, his name is Big John, we love this big guy, he’s super calm and friendly, amazing friendly disposition, easy to catch, just whistle and he’ll come, calmly gives all feet for the farrier, he loves his ears rubbed, great with our grandkids, they lead him up to the fence, climb the fence, then jump up on his back with a lead rope bareback and ride him around. To get off they slide off the back of his rump but it’s so far down they seldom ever land on their feet! They crawl under his belly between his legs to get to his otherside since it’s faster than going around. He’s good with our lab. We use him mostly for trail riding, he don’t need to jump logs he just steps over them. When packing he’s never pulled back. He’s packed out deer and elk. In writing this I’m wanting to change my mind but he’s really too big for me. If you come see him you’ll fall in love with him.
